Zoo Atlanta in partnership with Autism Speaks is once again to proud to be going Blue! Join them for the third year of Zoos Go Blue, a day designed in support of Autism Awareness Month. On Sunday, April 17th, the Zoo will open early at 9:00am for families with children or individuals affected by autism, giving them a unique opportunity to experience the Zoo before regular hours. And of course, the families are welcome to continue to enjoy their Zoo experience after we open to the public at 9:30 a.m. Throughout the day the Zoo’s wide variety of educational and engaging programming will be available for all guests.
In addition to the early admission, special Zoos Go Blue activities will focus on color, shape and sensory exploration designed for calming stimulation and fun. Two quiet zones will also be provided for any families who need to take a break. Volunteers from Georgia Autism Speaks will be on grounds to answer questions and assist visiting families.
Adults – $16.99; Children – $11.99 (all tickets are $2 more the day of the event)
Zoos Go Blue is a rain-or-shine event; animal enrichment activities are weather-permitting.
