This workshop was created for parents and caregivers of individuals diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and other developmental disabilities who want to teach their children new language and learning readiness skills. The workshop series will provide parents with information and training on what to teach, how to teach, and how to measure progress. Parents will leave the workshop with foundational knowledge of applied behavior analysis (ABA) and Verbal Behavior (VB), specific strategies to use at home, and ideas for future goals.
This workshop series is appropriate for a parent or caregiver who wishes to gain knowledge about effective ways to teach their child new skills or routines. All parents interested in or receiving services in the Language and Learning Clinic (LLC) are strongly encouraged to attend.
